- Does an ADU need its own panel?
- In most cases a subpanel serves the unit, fed from the main service. The right configuration depends on the property, the service size, and how the unit will be used.
- Will the main service need to be upgraded?
- Sometimes yes, sometimes no. It comes down to existing capacity versus the added load, which requires a look at the property.
- Can you work with my ADU builder?
- Yes. Coordinating with the builder or GC on trenching, framing, and inspection milestones is standard on these projects.
- Is a garage conversion cheaper than new construction?
- Electrically it can be, since the structure and some routing already exist — but only after the existing wiring is assessed. Bravo will tell you what is reusable and what is not.
